Auckland's near-subtropical climate makes our largest city's weather conditions varied and unpredictable. A warm and wet climate brings hot, humid summers and mild, damp winters. High rainfall occurs throughout the year, with a concentration of wet weather during winter months. Auckland weather can be changeable, with extreme weather conditions such as tropical cyclones, thunderstorms and hailstorms.
